This app is an educational tool that will help you determine whether or not you can get your criminal record expunged under Louisiana Law.  Although this app does not provide legal advice, it can help you assess your potential eligibility for expungement and help you prepare for a meeting with an attorney. There is no charge to check your eligibility. 

Easily apply for in forma pauperis (IFP) status and learn about criminal record expungement. Complete the necessary affidavit right through the app if you’re applying for IFP status. If you need guidance on the IFP process, attend one of JAC’s Expungement Clinics or reach out to a private attorney. If you’re already a client of a legal aid program like Acadiana Legal Services Corporation (ALSC), your existing attorney can assist you with the IFP affidavit as well.

​The app can also generate pre-filled forms to file for an expungement in court.  It costs $20 to download the forms.
